First, Dinner is led by Soloss, in partnership with End Poverty Edmonton and InWithForward.
Soloss is a community care prototype for grief and loss. It combines peer support, expressive and somatic practices and public-facing community activations to foster reciprocity, solidarity and cultural change.
End Poverty Edmonton is the project’s learning partner and network facilitator, connecting the work to its wider focus on affordability, lived experience and community wealth building. InWithForward provides participatory research, prototype design, communication design and learning documentation.

End Poverty Edmonton recognizes that eradicating poverty requires relational change, including shifts in mental models, power dynamics and relationships between people with lived experience of poverty and those holding institutional power, resources or influence.
First, Dinner explores how relational learning, shared meals and modest acts of collective care can contribute to improved trust, collaboration and the integration of lived experience into decision-making.
