Grief and loss is universal. Support should be too.

WHAT IS SOLOSS?
Soloss offers non-clinical grief-and-loss support rooted in creativity, ritual and connection.
We are a network of artists, healers, dreamers, community connectors, who have experienced and seen that many forms of grief go unacknowledged. With nodes in Vancouver and Edmonton, we come together to co-create new roles and practices to hold grief - particularly in spaces where it’s most ignored: shelters, encampments, and homes on the frontlines of loss.

Unacknowledged grief fuels disconnection, despair, and crisis. Too many people carry grief alone—unseen, unsupported, and silenced by systems that weren’t built to hold it. We’re here to meet it with care and reclaim grief as a collective responsibility.
OUR WHY
OUR VISION
Our theory of change is centered around the design of two new roles.
The first role is a Losstender.
Losstenders are everyday folks who choose to turn a personal creative practice into an offering to hold space for fellow community member’s grief and loss.
Guided and supported by professional healing practitioners we call the Circle of Support , Losstenders go directly into community to meet people where they are experiencing grief.
For losstenders, learn hands-on and in-person how to alchemize grief and loss into a tangible and meaningful forms. For community members, now there are no waitlists or service barriers and more opportunities to express and explore grief on their own terms.
Join us in strengthening what our formal systems cannot.
